Pahimis blend
CAFE AMADEO introduces its new concoction the “Pahimis Blend”. A blend of Arabica, Robusta, Excelsa and Liberica (Barako), perfectly roasted and classically blended, providing intense flavour and aroma ONE cannot resist. This Coffee blend made Cafe Amadeo famous. “Pahimis” in Amadeo means “thanksgiving”.
Robusta Green Beans
Most of the Robusta produced in the Philippines are dried under the natural method where the whole cherry with its whole covering is dried under the sun before it is milled. The cup produced is of strong robusta character, i.e. it is slightly bitter with pronounced body/flavor
Excelsa Green Beans
Philippine Excelsa is processed under the natural method, giving a cup with pronounced pharmacopical characteristics at times winey. Excelsa has a characteristic aroma and when aged becomes milder although different from the aroma of Arabica. It produces strong body. It is usually used to a high degree in blends of roasted ground coffee sold in the Middle East market
Liberica Green beans
Philippine Liberica is widely known “Kapeng Barako” because it produces the biggest berry among the commercial groups. It is characterized by a very strong pharmacopical taste and flavor
Arabica Green Beans
Characteristically grown at elevations ranging from 700-1000meters, Philippine Arabica being produced with pronounced fermented character, as elevation where it is grown is relatively low.
